Here's the Story...

Sunday went to church, did nursery, had dinner at my Aunt Nan's, went home, went to bed around 9:30 or so. I start waking up around 11:00 with some cramps, but go back to bed, wake up again around 12:30 with more cramps but go right back to bed. Then around 1:25 I wake up again with contractions. I got out of bed, turned the TV on and start timing them. Sure enough they are every 5 minutes but not super strong. I called my hospital around 2:30 because we live about an hour from the hospital and so I wanted to make sure I was there in time. The hospital told me to come in when I couldn't talk through my contractions. So I keep timing them and around 2:50 I know it's probably time we get going. I wake up Matt and he showers so I shower and the contractions got strong really fast. I call my mom who was luckily at Darrell's and she was going to meet us at John's where we were dropping off Jayden. Well on the way to St. Joseph's hospital I know I am starting to go through transition. I tell Matt to tell my Mom to just meet us at the hospital because it is going to go quick. I was so worried my water was going to break in the car and Matt would be mad at me but luckily it didn't. We left our house around 3:00, got to the hospital around 4:00 and I am admitted right away. The nurse checks me and I'm at a 6 and I thought oh no, another 4 hours, great. I was already in so much pain, but she said I was going to go quick. Matt luckily gets there after dropping off Jayden and him and my Mom are helping me through the contractions(they are the best team ever, I wish I could hire them out). I then go to my labor room and my midwife shows up right soon after. I was literally in my room for maybe a few minutes when my water breaks, and then 5 minutes before I started to feel like I wanted to push. My midwife didn't even check me and she said if you need to push, go ahead. So I pushed for a few hard minutes and our sweet baby girl, Jolie Kate Waite was born at 5:13 a.m. I was literally in the hospital a little over an hour and she was born. It was fast and really hard, but it was wonderful. I loved my midwives. The reason we went to St. Joseph's was because I wanted midwives to deliver this time(after our horrible experience last time). If anyone out there has ever thought of doing a natural birth, or was at all disappointed in their labor experience, I would recommend going to the DORM clinic at St. Joseph's. Yes it was sometimes annoying to drive to downtown Phoenix for my appointments, but it was well worth it. I feel wonderful. The nurses let me hold Jolie for such a long time before taking her and weighing her. I could go on and on about how wonderful it was, but I won't. Jolie has tons of dark hair and people say she looks like Jayden. I can't really tell but she is a great 2 day old baby so far. Yes her name is Jolie and no we're not obsessed with Angelina Jolie, I just like the name. Jolie's stats were 7 lbs. 4 oz, and 19 1/2 inches long. She's quite a bit smaller than Jayden which I was shocked about. She was so violent inside of me that it's hard to believe that this little tiny girl caused so much pain. That's about it though. We're home and everybody is healthy.
