Let's Celebrate

Right after Wicked got out, Matt and I drove up to Snowflake because there was no way we were going to miss Pioneer Days. We arrived safely at around 1:40 in the morning. Luckily my dear Terra let Jayden ride up with her family so we didn't have to worry about him (thanks Terra). Here are a few pictures of us at the parade. I love sitting with my family because I get to hear the cutest things little kids say like "This is the best day of my life" as they get the candy thrown at them. It was fun to watch Jayden this year as he's sort of getting it. I honestly don't think he ate more than two pieces of his candy, but it's the running out in the street that's the fun part right? It was a beautiful day and we got to relax and enjoy being out of the valley heat.

Oh Baby Baby

Some of my favorite items on the menu.

A few weekends ago some of my dear friends threw a shower for me in Snowflake. They were wonderful enough to travel up and put together the most chick shower I've ever been to. It was small in numbers but oh so intimate. I wouldn't have had it any other way. Thank you to all those who came, and especially thank you to Erica, Micah and Terra. You are the best friends anyone could ever dream of. It was a dream. Surprise surprise there wasn't a decent picture taken of me(35 weeks is not so cute when you have a round face that you get from your father plus a few pregnancy pounds, thanks Dad) but I'll post one anyway.

Wicked at Last

So for over a year now we've been planning to see Wicked. The date was set and I have waited patiently, very patiently. I've never read the book and I had listened to a few songs, but that was it(someone sang a song from it once and it kind of ruined it for me which is why I never got into it). Well a week before we went and saw the play, I went and bought the soundtrack so I could have an idea of what was going on. After dissecting what I could, I grew even more excited to see if my theories were right. As Elphie sings her first song, chills ran down my body and tears filled my eyes. It was amazing and an experience I will never forget. Every time I see something like "Lion King", "Beauty and the Beast", "Les Mis",the list could go on and on, it's almost like a spiritual experience. It makes me so grateful for the people who are so talented and it makes me envious of those people. Oh well, I'll be the mom and they can be the ones who get to entertain my mind heart and soul. I'll just say again I loved it. Thank you Sharon and Jay.

Funny Things

Jayden has been talking more lately(still not that much compared to other kids his age but oh well) and I have been loving it, for the most part. Here are just a couple things he said today. I had my Dr.'s appointment this morning and he came with me. Now picture and OBGYN's office walls...what are the usual pictures of? Yes that's right, very graphic illustrations of a womans body. Jayden has seen these before but this time he points up to the picture and looks at me and says EWW!!! I just started laughing and laughing. It was too cute. Also he has started saying WHY? I've been dreading this one, but it's just too cute(for now). He says it in the littlest man voice like he's got the most important question and he needs you to answer it or life will be over as he knows it. As he said it for the first time in the car yesterday I wanted to cry it was so cute. Next post I'm sure I'll be saying how annoying it is, but for now I'll enjoy it.
