"Chim-e-ney"

So I have a pretty silly husband. Jeanie, Matt, and I were talking last night and for some reason chimneys came up in our conversation. My husband Matt thinks you say "chimney", "chim-e-ney". Yes like on Mary Poppins "chim chim-e-ney, chim chim-e-ney chim chim charoo". We tried to convince him that no in fact we were not chimney sweepers and that it's said as chimney but we couldn't. So if you are ever having a conversation with him and he says "chim-e-ney" please correct him.

Waite Family Reunion 2008

We just got back from our big trip back east. We went and hung out with Matt's brother and family for a few days in Alexandria, Virginia and then headed out to Duck, North Carolina for a week. It was so beautiful. If we could pick up all of our family and move out there, we would. We did a lot of fun things. I don't want to bore anyone so I'll just list them real quick. Fun park in DC, Air & Space Museum, Adrienne's Pre-School Graduation, Beach, Currituck Lighthouse, Aquarium, Family Pictures, Dinner on the Potomac, Wright Brothers Museum, and of course just being with family. It was tons of fun. Here are just some of the pictures we took.
Jayden was so good on the plane.

Super fun Park

Us at the Air & Space Museum

Beautiful and Fun Beach

Boys in Matching Pajamas

Currituck Lighthouse

Aquarium

Wright Brothers Museum

I know that's way too many pictures to look at, but oh well. If anyone ever has the chance to go back to the Outerbanks, do it. It really was amazing. Thanks Amanda for finding it for us.

Watch It

So my fabulous mom gave us Netflix for a Christmas present and we love it. For those of you who want to watch a good clean movie, I have the perfect one to watch. This past weekend we watched Dan in Real Life with Steve Carell and I was so very pleased with it. I love this kind of humor. It's not like super hilarious so don't expect that, but it's just a really good movie. So I give Dan in Real Life Two Thumbs Up. Watch it, I know you'll love it.

Jayden Turns One!!!

So here is the video from his birthday. I am a mean mom and I accidentally blew out the candle. Remember the cake is supposed to be a LEGO. What can I say, I tried.

NO, My Mom is the Best!!!

So I am now 24, and I think I still have the mentality of a five year old. In sacrament today there were talks about mothers and you would think I would be just enjoying these talks, but I wasn't. I am sitting there in my immature mind and having these thoughts running through my mind, "No, my mom's the best," "I'll beat you up," "My mom's tougher than your mom," "My mom's prettier than your mom," " My mom does more for me than your mom does for you." Pretty bad huh. My mom is in Indiana right now visiting her mom and I miss her. I miss you Mom! One of my favorite things to do is just spend time with her. She is usually super crazy busy, but one of my most favorite things to do with her is just ride in the front seat of the Excursion while she runs my dads errands or goes to Wal-Mart, or picks up kids from school. So if you read this Mom, I love you. Happy Mothers Day!!!

I Did It!

So any of you with long hair, or short hair for that matter know how hot it can get when you live in the valley, and you have to blow dry your hair. I hardly ever blow it dry because it takes so long, and I get way too hot. So I am a big girl now and I made a big girl decision. I cut my hair. I felt like I looked like a boring frumpy mom, it's so heavy all the time, I can't even see Jayden when I bend over, it was so uncomfortable to sleep with, and I just needed something new. I went in and told the hairstylist that I wanted to look like a Victoria Secret model. She probably was thinking, "You, right." Anyway, so it's a lot shorter but I'm happy with the results. I wanted something really beachy(I know it's not a word) for the summer. When I get our camera working again, I'll show you. It's not as dramatic as I make it sound, but for me it was a big step.

One Year Older and Wiser Too

So Thursday was Jayden's birthday. I can't believe it. My mom came down with Jeanie and we first went to Ikea for an exciting day. Later we celebrated just with a little family dinner. I am so bumbed because it looks like I may have broken our camera, again. I took a few pictures of Jayden during dinner, then I dropped it, and so that's why we don't have any with his cake. Jayden loves LEGO's so I kind of had a little LEGO theme. His cake was a LEGO, he got some LEGO's and we had LEGO's fruit snacks, after all he is only one. It was really fun though. He had started taking steps on the Monday before so that was really fun. I love my little boy so much. I have video of him with his cake though that I might post later. The picture of him where he's a mess is a cupcake that I made for everyone else. I still can't believe it though, my baby is one and he's not so much a baby anymore. Oh well.
